How the authenticity score works
Every listing starts at 100 points. Six signal checks run against the data you provide. Negative signals deduct points, positive ones add a few back. The final score tells you how trustworthy the posting looks.
Up to -38 pts
Ghost probability
Checks posting age, salary visibility, applicant count, vague descriptions, and re-posting patterns. High ghost probability drags the score down hard.
Up to -15 pts
JD complexity
Unrealistic requirement stacking suggests the listing was written by committee with no real intent to hire. Overloaded JDs lose points; realistic ones stay clean.
-20 to +5 pts
Source quality
Where does the apply link point? Direct company career pages score higher. Blocked domains, signup walls, and unverified sources all cost points.

Posting freshness
Jobs posted in the last week get a boost. Anything older than 30 days loses points. Listings past 60 days are penalized heavily.

Can a job score 100?
Yes. A fresh posting on a direct company career page with a visible salary range, a detailed description, verified company data, and no ghost signals will hit 100. Most real jobs land somewhere between 70 and 95.
Should I skip jobs that score below 40?
Treat scores below 40 as a warning, not a death sentence. A real job posted 65 days ago with no salary info and a thin description will score low even if the opportunity is legitimate. The score tells you to verify before you invest time applying.
Is my data stored?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Paste, check, and close the tab.
