Scoring

How many job searches you can run each day. Each search returns scored results from multiple job boards. New accounts start on a 14-day trial with the higher allowance.

How many individual jobs you can score against your resume. Each score includes a full 0-100 breakdown with skill gaps and fix suggestions. New accounts get 50 during the 14-day trial; the free allowance after that is 3 in total, not 3 per day.

How many jobs should you target per week?

Every job is scored across five dimensions: Skills Match, Experience Fit, Seniority Fit, Industry Fit, and Culture and Logistics. Each dimension is weighted based on your scoring preset.

See exactly which requirements pulled your score down and by how many points. Each gap shows the point cost and whether it's fixable before you apply.

How to know if you're qualified before applying

Stale postings, vague JDs, and low-effort listings are flagged automatically. Saves you from wasting time on jobs that were never real.

What to look for in job descriptions

Control how much each scoring dimension counts toward the final score. Choose a preset (Tech, Marketing, Leadership, etc.) or fine-tune individual sliders. Weights always total 100.

Auto-reject commission-only, contract, or low-quality roles. Exclude specific companies, industries, or keywords. Jobs that hit a dealbreaker are flagged instantly.

Resume & Prep

Upload your resume once. AI extracts your skills, work history, education, and experience level automatically. Everything feeds into your scores.

How resume parsing works

Generate a resume rewritten for each specific JD. Reorders and emphasizes your experience to match what the role asks for. Never invents anything.

How tailored resumes work

One-click cover letters in four tones: professional, conversational, confident, or enthusiastic. Each tailored to the role.

AI-generated interview questions based on the role's actual requirements and your specific gaps. Walk in prepared.

Dashboard & Tools

See where your matches are on an interactive map. Filter by region and find roles close to home or anywhere remote.

Filter your job map by score range and geographic region. Focus on the roles that matter most.

A visual snapshot of your skills across categories. Download it as a PNG or share the link.

Automatic company info pulled in for each job: size, funding, industry, and more context to help you decide.

Export all your scored jobs, notes, and application data to a spreadsheet for offline tracking.

Track your search patterns, average scores, and application trends over time.

Get notified when high-scoring jobs match your profile, even when you're not actively searching. Runs several times a day with customizable score thresholds and job criteria.

Support

Full documentation, guides, and tutorials for getting the most out of ShouldApply.

Skip the queue. Priority email support with faster response times for Pro subscribers.

Auto-Apply

Every queued application waits for your explicit yes. Nothing is submitted blind, and you can skip anything you don't want.

Jobs that clear the score threshold you set arrive with the form already filled in, so approving one is a single click instead of twenty minutes of typing.

A CAPTCHA or a login hands the application back to you with everything prepared. It's never worked around.

A once-a-day recap of what went out.

Why job seekers switch to Pro

The difference between applying blindly to dozens of listings and targeting roles where you are a top candidate.

Eliminate hours of manual search

Scan 6 major boards in a single search and filter out ghost or expired listings automatically instead of toggling between browser tabs.

Save 8+ hours weekly

Focus only where your fit is competitive

Prioritize listings with an 80+ fit score. Applying to fewer, highly qualified roles generates significantly more recruiter callbacks than submitting blindly.

Target top 15% fit

Role-specific resume tailoring

Generate tailored resumes and cover letters in seconds that directly highlight the keywords, tools, and experiences required by that specific posting.

Instant point gains

Questions? Covered.

Every new account starts on a 14-day trial: 10 searches a day and 50 scores, with full dimension breakdowns and the Why Not 100 explainer. No card needed. When the trial ends you drop to the free tier, which keeps everything you have already scored and gives you 3 scores in total to carry on with. Pro adds unlimited scores and searches, automatic background scanning, resume tailoring, and interview prep.

Your data stays put. All your scored jobs, notes, and saved applications remain accessible on the free tier. You just lose access to Pro-only features like unlimited scores and resume generation.

Most job platforms tell you to apply. ShouldApply tells you whether you should. We score every job against your actual skills and experience, then show you exactly where you match and where you don't. No black box, no vague "recommended for you" labels.

No. Your resume data is used only to score jobs and generate tailored documents for you. We don't sell it, share it with recruiters, or use it for advertising. It's yours.

Yes. You can move between Pro and Premium at any time. An upgrade prorates the difference so you only pay for what's left in the period, and a downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Yes. If you are dissatisfied within the first 7 days of your initial Pro subscription, contact us at mail@shouldapply.com for a full refund. You can also cancel your recurring subscription at any time with one click from your account settings.

Auto-Apply monitors active listings from supported job boards and evaluates them against your 5-dimension fit score. When a role clears your minimum score threshold, the engine extracts the job's stated requirements, drafts tailored resume highlights and a role-specific cover letter, and populates the employer's application form. It captures step-by-step verification screenshots and places the completed draft into your Approval Queue. It only executes submission once you explicitly review and approve it.

You have full control. Every application sits in your Approval Queue as 'Needs Approval' until you review it. In the queue, you can inspect the fit score breakdown, the tailored cover letter, and a pre-submission screenshot of the filled form. You can approve individual jobs, approve all jobs clearing a high score threshold, or skip any role that does not match your criteria. In Settings, you also configure your minimum score cut-off, daily submission caps, company blocklists, and keyword exclusion filters. Nothing is submitted without your direct sign-off.

What damages candidate reputation is blast-submitting dozens of unaligned listings with generic resumes. Applicant Tracking Systems flag repetitive, rapid-fire submissions, and recruiters ignore obviously mismatched profiles. ShouldApply takes the opposite approach: it only queues roles where your profile demonstrates a strong match, tailors every submission specifically to the job description, and submits with natural delays during standard business hours with employer cooldowns. Because applications are targeted and reviewed by you first, hiring teams receive a clean, relevant submission.

Every application captures step-by-step screenshots: when the form loads, when fields are populated, right before submission, and after confirmation. If an application form has non-standard screening questions the model cannot resolve with high confidence, hits a login wall, or encounters a CAPTCHA, it stops immediately. The role is routed to your 'Needs Your Submit' tab with a direct link and your tailored materials pre-packaged, rather than guessing on your behalf. If an ATS rejects a submission, the error code and screenshot are saved to your History log so you can inspect what happened.

Yes. You can toggle 'Pause Automation' in your Auto-Apply settings at any time with a single click. Pausing immediately halts automated form filling and stops any pending queue items from being processed. You can also adjust your daily limits, delete pending drafts, or export your entire application history as a CSV whenever you want.

When an employer portal requires an account login or displays a CAPTCHA challenge, our browser automation detects the gate and halts execution. We do not attempt to bypass CAPTCHAs or store your third-party portal passwords. Instead, the application is flagged as 'Needs Your Submit,' and ShouldApply provides you with the direct link and your tailored materials so you can complete the final submit button yourself.

No. Submissions are processed through standard browser sessions directly on the employer's public application portal. Your resume is uploaded as a clean PDF, your cover letter is submitted as standard text, and all form fields reflect your genuine profile information. To the employer's ATS, your application arrives exactly like any candidate submitting through their website.
