Fake Remote Flagged
Why Generic Scanners Fail Here

A "Remote" label doesn't tell you what the job actually requires.

Some listings marked remote turn out to need three days a week in an office you don't live near, or hours that overlap a timezone you're not in. The scoring engine reads each job description for its actual work arrangement, remote, hybrid with a specific office cadence, or onsite, and scores it against your stated preference and location.

Audience FAQ

Common Questions

Does it filter jobs by my timezone?

Not as a dedicated timezone filter yet. What it does today: the scoring engine reads each job description for stated overlap requirements, such as needing to be available during PST or EST business hours, and surfaces that automatically so you're not left to find it buried in the posting.

How does it tell hybrid from fully remote?

It reads the job description's actual wording. Phrases like "fully remote" or "remote-first" get read as remote, "hybrid" gets parsed for an office-days-per-week figure when the posting states one, and "must work from the office" or similar gets read as onsite. A label in the job title alone doesn't decide the result.

Can I set a remote-only preference?

Yes. Your profile supports a multi-select for Remote, Hybrid, and On-site, so you can include more than one arrangement, and the scoring engine and job search both use that preference.

Does salary data account for where I live?

Yes. Salary pages are broken out by role and by location, so a Software Engineer salary figure for Austin and one for San Francisco are shown separately rather than blended into one national number.
